Quarter Mile Quarter Drop Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Event
Friday, October 19 from 5:30pm - 8:30pm
Come visit Biddle Avenue in Downtown Wyandotte where representatives from Waynewright Community Meals (aka the Wyandotte Soup Kitchen) will be posted along the quarter mile that stretches from Sycamore to Elm Street. In partnership with the City of Wyandotte's Third Friday festivities, volunteers will be attempting to collect a 1/4 mile worth of quarters to help feed members of the downriver community this winter and to raise awareness about the presence of hunger and homelessness in our communities. There will also be information about ways that volunteers can get involved. Please bring your quarters and place them along the quarter mile! Your small change can make a big difference!
