Wyandotte Municipal Services (WMS) is a community-owned, not-for-profit services provider, created by local residents more than a century ago to provide high quality, affordable services tailored to meet the demands of Wyandotte’s consumers. WMS offers electric, water, phone, internet and cable television services.

In addition, Wyandotte has undertaken many steps to become a Green Community. Some notable steps include: Solar energy use in publicly and privately owned buildings, an aggressive movement to re-develop Brownfield sites throughout the city, energy effecient programs for residential and commercial customers and installations of geothermal infrastructure. Furthermore, wind turbines will be installed by Wyandotte Municipal Services in 2017.
